We chose to keep our homes small for a reason. With six rooms in each house, every resident eats at the same table, sees the same faces in the morning, and knows the people looking after them. Bigger care settings can be excellent — they are simply not what we do.
The everyday matters more than any glossy brochure. The smell of breakfast cooking. The garden in spring. A familiar carer remembering how you take your tea. These are what we measure ourselves on, and what families tell us they were looking for when their relative came to live with us.
“Small enough that a son or daughter can ring and speak to someone who actually knows their mum.”
